The Green Party Can Win by Opposing US Nato Imperialism

Peace is one of the core values of the Green Party with its strong anti-war party platform. With the world teetering on the brink of WW3 in the Middle East, America needs an energized anti-war movement and the Green Party should be at the forefront of it. The Green Party and its members can either organize anti-war protests or endorse existing protests against the Gaza genocide and US NATO imperialism.

The Green Party must play a role in debunking the war propaganda narrative and never allow itself to fall prey to war propaganda for political gain or compromise. As Wikileaks founder Julian Assange said “if wars can be started with lies, peace can be started by truth.” As more Americans realize they’ve been lied to by their government and its CIA infiltrated legacy media lapdogs, the harder it becomes to manufacture consent for war.

We should call for disbanding NATO, because it is not a defensive alliance, but rather an offensive expansionary military alliance that has moved right up to the Russian border creating a “Cuban Missile Crisis on Steroids” as Jill Stein said in 2024.

The goal of the US NATO proxy war against Russia in Ukraine has been to weaken Russia, so the US can wage a war against China. China gets much of its oil from Iran, therefore US regime change in Iran would hurt China. Iran is also a critical crossroads in China’s Belt and Road Project with Russia to the north and China to the east. Iran is not Iraq and has a stockpile of both ballistic and hypersonic missiles. Both China and Russia will help Iran if necessary. China did reportedly help Iran with intelligence ships and possibly weapons. Where all of this insanity leaves the world is standing on the precipice of Armageddon.

Green Party members should not miss the opportunity to show up at an Indivisible Rally during the week of July 4th. These protests can be dubbed Blue MAGA rallies, because much like MAGA many of the participants rally around the flag. There is a large display of American flag waving along with a complete absence of anti-war signs.

These protests carry a legitimate message opposing the Trump dictatorship, its gutting of public agencies, the ICE raids and illegal deportations. Unfortunately, anti-imperialist, anti-Zionist signs are few and few between. Trump’s crackdown of the First Amendment rights of pro-Palestinian student protests on US campuses and ICE arrests of law abiding foreign visa student activists has not been given much attention at the Indivisible protests.

I recently attended a June 14th “No Kings” protest and had the only sign protesting Israel’s Gaza genocide and US complicity. With a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Iran that may not last, there is no better time to protest against a US war with Iran. The US has brought the world too close to WW3, both with its NATO proxy war against Russia in Ukraine and in the Middle East by bombing Iran. The $1 trillion US military budget would be better spent on healthcare, housing for the homeless, free college and infrastructure. AIPAC has bought most of the US Congress and the presidency. Do AIPAC’s tentacles reach as far as Indivisible?

The Indivisible “Hands Off” protests had “Hands Off NATO” stuck in the middle of their long list of legitimate demands for the Trump Administration. These demands included Hands off: Social Security, Medicaid, the Veterans Administration, public lands and the numerous public agencies affected by the DOGE cuts. The message should be “No To Nato.” and “Russia, China and Iran are not the enemy, our enemies are the billionaires who control our political and economic system.”

Will The Ceasefire Hold or Will the US Go to War With Iran?

People around the world may feel that humanity has just dodged a bullet over the past week. On the first day of Summer, President Donald Trump almost started World War Three with Iran. Trump claimed to have brokered a ceasefire, but it may not hold. Israel immediately violated the ceasefire agreement shortly after it went into effect. Iran launched a retaliatory attack that caused great damage to Tel Aviv with a death toll possibly in the hundreds.

What the Legacy media is reluctant to tell the American public is that Israel got its ass kicked pretty hard and could not withstand a longer war without full US support. Even with US support, Iran was destroying Israel and this was probably the number one reason Trump called for a ceasefire. Legacy media outlets continue to distort reality on the ground in Israel, to give cover to the Zionist regime while denying the military strength that Iran has demonstrated. The attacks on Iran did not lead to regime change, but galvanized national unity across Iran in spite of political differences.

Neither Republican or Democratic Congress members would denounce Trump’s reckless unprovoked attack on Iran as a blatant violation of international law, nor question the propaganda that Iran is close to getting a nuclear bomb. A majority of Democrats joined Republicans in the House to block an impeachment resolution by Al Green of Texas. The resolution did not condemn Trump’s reckless attack on Iran as a violation of international law that could lead to WW3, but alleged that the president abused his presidential power by infringing on the authority of Congress to declare war.

The Washington DC duopoly continues to call Iran a state sponsor of terrorism, when in fact Iran has never invaded another country. Iran did everything it could to avoid a war with Israel, while Israel has invaded four countries (Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iran) over the past year, in addition to its genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. Most of the terrorism in the Middle East has been carried out by Israel, with full backing from the US.

We must not forget Obama’s 2012 covert operation Timber Sycamore that armed the Al Nusra Front (Al Qaeda linked terrorists) in Syria to overthrow the Assad Regime, nor the fact that Trump lifted sanctions on the country that is now ruled by former Al Qaeda and ISIS leader Abu Muhammad al-Jawlani, who changed his name to Ahmed al-Sharaa. Finally lifting US sanctions is much needed to help the Syrian people who have suffered. The very fact that Western powers are willing to endorse an Al Qaeda terrorist leader, who was on the US government’s wanted list with a $10 million bounty until December 2024, should completely outrage every American. For over a decade after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Al Qaeda was proclaimed America’s worst enemy, who must be completely eliminated.

Regardless of what the Washington political establishment and its media lapdogs have been saying, the majority of Americans do not support a US war with Iran and the propaganda that Iran poses a nuclear threat to America is a failed narrative. Large numbers of MAGA voters do not support another war. With the Doomsday Clock at 89 seconds before midnight, there is no better time than the present for Americans to wake up and realize America is governed by two capitalist parties beholden to the pro-Israel lobby and the war machine. The Washington DC cabal is best described as the military congressional intelligence media industrial complex that’s beholden to the oligarchs and Israel.

Another big reason Trump called for a ceasefire is to avoid devastating harm to the US economy because Iran threatened to shut down the Strait of Hormuz, a vital crude oil shipping lane. Ansar Allah (the Houthis) of Yemen was threatening to add to Iran’s closure, by stopping US ships in the Red Sea. If the US used military force to re-open the Strait, it could lead to a costly defeat to the US Navy with Iran having the ability to sink US aircraft carriers.

Both the Biden and Trump Administrations were unsuccessful in defeating Ansar Allah of Yemen, who implemented a blockade on Israeli and Israel bound cargo ships in the Red Sea. Ansar Allah has always proclaimed they will lift the blockade once Israel withdraws from Gaza and lifts its starvation siege. Yemen is the only nation in the world to fulfill its obligations under international law to stop genocide.

During the seven week period that the US conducted Operation Rough Rider beginning in March 2025, it killed hundreds of Yemen’s civilians, destroying a cancer hospital and apartment buildings. Ansar Allah shot down over 22 Reaper drones worth $30 million each and two F-18 Super Hornet fighter jets were lost in the Red Sea after falling off the deck of their aircraft carrier during a Houthi attack.

Trump finally called an end to Rough Rider while falsely claiming victory, but getting an agreement from Ansar Allah to allow US ships passage through the Red Sea. The reality is the US could not sustain its military operation against the Ansar Allah, because it had depleted its missiles aboard the USS Carl Vinson Strike Group.

If the US military can’t defeat Ansar Allah, how would they defeat Iran with its arsenal of sophisticated missiles? US warmongers have bitten off more they can chew. Americans should be asking themselves is there an opportunity for an off ramp to endless war? If Israel violates the ceasefire, Iran’s response will be even harsher. Israel never abides by its ceasefire agreements, as they have proven time and time again in Gaza and Lebanon. Iranian geopolitical Analyst Ehsan Safarnejad called Iran’s acceptance of Trump’s ceasefire “Moronic” noting that neither Israel or the US can be trusted. What if Iran only agreed to a ceasefire if the IDF pulls out of Gaza and the West Bank? What Israel has done to the Palestinians in Gaza, who are now dying of starvation, is completely unforgivable.

US War With Iran is War Against the Rise of BRICS Plus

What happened in June 2025 on the world stage should shock and anger anyone who was paying attention. On June 13, 2025, Israel launched an unprovoked surprise attack on Iran, called Rising Lion. The attack caught Iran completely off guard. Several top IRGC commanders and 9 out of 10 of Iran’s top nuclear scientists were killed. Hundreds of civilians were killed in airstrikes on apartment buildings in numerous cities. A uranium enrichment facility was allegedly struck.

In response, Iran has launched its Operation True Promise 3 with numerous waves of devastating missile strikes on Israel which penetrated all of its missile defense systems including the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, the Patriot and THAD. Iran’s precision strikes hit numerous targets including a power station in Ashdod, the Nevatim Airbase, the Tel Nof Airbase, Weizmann Science Institute in Tel Aviv, the Mossad Headquarters, Microsoft and an oil refinery in Haifa. Iran has reportedly killed considerably less civilians in its strikes than Israeli strikes on Iran that have killed hundreds of Iranians.

Israel spent many months preparing for its June 13th attack. The Mossad had infiltrated Iran and set up drone factories inside the country. It had reportedly sabotaged many of Iran’s missile defense systems. After being caught off guard, Iran quickly repaired many of its missile defense systems. Iran shot down three Israeli jets including an F-35 and captured a female IDF pilot.

Iran and the US had been holding a series of indirect negotiations in Oman. President Trump had issued the ultimatum that Iran had 60 days to make a deal with the United States. The July 13th attack happened on day 61. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was quick to respond with a statement alleging that Israel was acting on its own and the US was not involved. Shortly after, Donald Trump released a statement on Truth Social stating “I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal…The United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the world BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come – And they know how to use it….Iran must make a deal before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the great Iranian Empire.”

Iran had warned that if the US gets involved, it would strike US bases in the region. Trump continued to warn that Iran must be stopped from acquiring a nuclear weapon, even though the US intelligence report from March 2025 stated that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon, does not have a nuclear weapons program and its supreme leader has not authorized one. The supreme leader Ali Khamenei banned Iran’s nuclear weapons program in 2003.

On June 21, 2025, President Donald Trump ordered Operation Midnight Hammer that sent B-52 Stealth bombers to destroy Iran’s top three nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natzan and Isfahan. Immediately after the fighter jets had bombed these nuclear sites, Trump went on social media to brag stating “We have completed our very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran including Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of bombs was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to brave American warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Hours later, even Fox News was claiming that these sites may not be completely destroyed. According to some Iranian sources, no significant damage was done to the Iran’s nuclear program. Trump nearly started World War Three on the false premise that Iran is very close to having a nuclear bomb.

Trump is an idiot if he believes the US can bomb its way to peace. No world leader in his right mind would strike another country and then immediately assume a peace agreement can be established. The US attack on Iran is an act of war and blatant violation of international law.

Israel’s unprovoked June 13th attack on Iran was given a greenlight by Donald Trump, who had foreknowledge. The US was fighting Iran through Israel, its proxy in the Middle East, until the ninth day of the war when Trump ordered the airstrikes. Perhaps Israel and the US had grossly underestimated Iran’s military strength and the nation’s resolve. Iranian strikes on Tel Aviv and Haifa have been devastating to Israel, who can not sustain a long war without military assistance from the United States.

It has been the goal of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for 25 years to lead the US into a war with Iran. Donald Trump is surrounded by Mossad stenographers, such as his CIA director John Ratcliffe and General Micheal Kurilla. Trump’s close ties to Netanyahu were established in his first term. His son-in-law Jared Kushner has known Netanyahu since his childhood, when he would visit the Kushner Family and stay at their home.

On the campaign trail, Donald Trump said he would make peace in Ukraine and the Middle East, but in office he has done the opposite. He threatened to attack Iran a second time, if it did not agree to a complete surrender.

The need to stop Iran from building a nuclear bomb is war propaganda. It is no different than the lie of “weapons of mass destruction” used to promote the illegal invasion of Iraq in 2003. Legacy media outlets are nothing more than a mouthpiece for US imperialism and its wars of aggression.

The real reason for this war is best described as The US empire waging war to stop the rise of a multipolar world. In an Danny Haiphong interview, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said it best “..the delusion on the side of Israel and on the side of the United States is they’ve dusted off the Saddam Hussein weapons of mass destruction playbook and are pretending that this is all about trying to stop Iran from getting a nuke. This is nothing of the sort. This was an attempt to do regime change to knock Iran out of its power relationship with Russia and China to destroy BRICS because BRICS represents an existential threat to the western banking system and to western control of the financial system of the world with the dollar as the dominant currency and Iran is a critical player on that chessboard. They’re not a pawn. They’re more like a knight or a rook or a bishop. They are a key piece and it’s with respect to Russia and China. We’re now seeing the signs of how important it is. The fact that the Chinese just put two intelligence collection ships into the Persian Gulf [that] showed up there yesterday.”

You won’t have this accurate assessment on Legacy media outlets such as Fox News, MSNBC, the New York TImes or Washington Post because they represent the military industrial complex that wages war for profit and to achieve US full spectrum dominance. CIA and Zionist infiltration of the media has a long history. The job of the American mainstream press has long been to manufacture consent or US regime change wars. However in the case of attacking Iran, the majority of Americans aren’t buying the propaganda. Perhaps America has reached a turning point and Americans have learned the lesson from Shock And Awe (the 2003 invasion of Iraq) that there were no weapons of mass destruction and similar lies are being used now. Many of Trump’s own MAGA base are starting to turn against him and call for his impeachment.

Striking Similarities of the June Surprise Attacks on Russia and Iran

On June 1st, Russia was hit by a Ukrainian surprise attack that has a similar footprint to Israel’s June 13th surprise attack on Iran. Ukraine had spent 18 months planning the attacks known as Operation Spiderweb and had set up drone factories in Russia. Ukraine used drones to attack five Russian military airbases and damaged nuclear capable fighter jets. Operation SpiderWeb also sabotaged the railway system collapsing two bridges that derailed a train in Bryansk and another in Kursk. The two train attacks killed seven people and injured 110 people.

It became immediately clear that Ukraine could not have acted alone hitting Russian nuclear capable bombers at airbases because the country does not have its own satellite technology. Therefore, Western intelligence agencies had to be involved. The Grayzone has exposed leaked war plans conceived by British and American academics that were sent to the National.Security Council instructing the Zelensky Regime to carry out ISIS style attacks inside Russia. These plans focused on sabotaging Russian railways.

If the US was involved in the attack on Russia’s nuclear capable bombers it is a violation of the START Treaty with an attack on Russia’s nuclear infrastructure. The START Treaty requires nuclear capable bombers to be parked in the open, so each side can see what type of bombs they are carrying. Such an attack by the West is provocation for a nuclear response by Russia. Russia’s response has thus far been to hit Kiev and Kharkiv with the most damaging missile and drone strikes of the entire conflict.

In a two hour phone call with Russian president Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump denied having any knowledge of the attacks on Russia. What is suspicious is the timing and similarities with the June 13th Iran attack. Russia and Ukraine had finally entered direct negotiations after months of separate talks with Washington. Putin was reluctant to take the ceasefire deal that Trump was offering. Trump was growing impatient. Were the Ukrainian attacks on Russian bases and railways, a tactic to push Putin to accept Trump’s deal? If this is the case, the strategy completely backfired and Russia’s response has been a very aggressive one with likely more to come.

Zelensky has wanted a 30 day ceasefire, while Russia has completely rejected the proposal saying it would give Ukraine time to rearm, conscript more young soldiers and position itself for a new assault. Russia has been winning for three years and now controls nearly 25% of Ukraine. Russia is advancing nearly 9 kilometers a day on the front line. Putin wants a permanent end to the war, legitimate elections to be held in Ukraine and the removal of the extremist Nazi elements in the Kiev Regime.

Russia and Ukraine had both agreed to a 30 day ceasefire on energy infrastructure, but Ukraine violated the agreement almost daily. This was no surprise to the Russians, since Ukraine had violated the ceasefire agreement under the Minsk Two Peace Agreement for seven years.

There are rumors that Russia will end its Special Military Operation and change it to a counter-terrorism operation. Putin and Russian officials have acknowledged that the Zelensky regime is turning into a terrorist organization. Under the guidelines for a Special Military Operation, killing the Ukrainian leadership in Kiev is prohibited. Under the guidelines for a counter terrorism operation, the Kiev government will be defined as a terrorist regime, giving the Russian military the authority to destroy it.

Donald Trump could have ended the war months ago, by stopping all military aid and intelligence sharing for Ukraine. “Not one more penny for Ukraine” was one of the ten demands of the Rage Against The War Machine protests. By continuing to arm Ukraine, its forces have continued to fight and slow Russian progress, while losing both territory and trained soldiers. Most of the Washington political establishment has no problem fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian.

Americans Need to be Reminded of the Declaration of Independence

Many Americans celebrate the July 4th (Independence Day) holiday to show their patriotism and love for America. It is a day of pageantry patriotism, parades, backyard barbecues and fireworks, but few people take the time to read and reflect on the Declaration of Independence that was written by Thomas Jefferson and signed on July 4, 1776 by our founding fathers before declaring war on their British rulers with the Revolutionary War.

The Declaration of Independence is a revolutionary document that clearly states: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

America’s founding fathers, having just broken free from the British Empire, feared foreign Influence could corrupt their government, particularly the presidency. Safeguards against foreign influence were built into the US Constitution such as the Emoluments Clause found in Article I, Section 9: “And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince or foreign State.” The second safeguard put in the Constitution is the power to impeach the president.

Since day one of Trump’s presidency in 2017, he has violated the emoluments clause, but Congress has chosen to look the other way, which is a dereliction of their duty. Corrupt foreign influence over our government has been normalized with large donations to elected officials from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). AIPAC attempts to get every member of Congress to take a loyalty pledge to Israel and if they do they are rewarded with monetary support. Trump is the largest recipient of pro-Israel donors, having received over $230 million. Israel controls the US government.

Both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson warned against getting entangled in foreign wars and joining international military alliances. Washington said “It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliance with any portion of the foreign world.” Jefferson wrote “Equal and exact justice to all men, of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political; peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none.

The US has become the largest empire in history leading the growing military alliance NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) which has led us to the gates of World War 3 with Russia. NATO would be more appropriately named either the North Atlantic Terrorist Organization or the Nazi Arming and Training Organization for its arming and training of Ukrainian Nazis to fight Russia. The US can’t be both a global empire and a democracy at home in America.

Under both the Biden and Trump Administrations, America has been rapidly becoming a fascist surveillance police state, to control its own population who don’t support US imperialism and more wars. The Green Party must not simply be a minor political party like a tiny green tick on a giant nasty bird with one wing being the Democrats and the other the Republicans. It must become a revolutionary movement that completely rejects the fake democracy in Washington DC, raises the consciousness of the American people and provides a pathway to a brighter future.
